I finally caught another decent picture of my little Budda (pronounced Buddha) Buddy. He likes to lay in this basket every day when I’m hard at work or play in the office; I’m sure he’s really supervising me to make sure I am working. The basket was brought back from Jamaica by my in-laws as a gift for my hubby and I. Unfortunately, I don’t have a lot of time to decorate or do anything creative with this so it sits on the window sill just waiting for my Buddy to come by and take his afternoon nap.
The DH thought up the saying one day deriving it from “The Silence of the Lambs” when the creepy guy is telling the girl in the pit “It puts the lotion in the basket”. Instead we usually say “It puts the Budda in the Basket”. Since no one besides my hubby or I would know what a “Budda” is, I replaced Budda with kitteh.
We are still looking for 999,973 more pet pictures to feature here at One Million Pet Pics; I only have two cats so it’s going to be real difficult to get there myself and we want our content to be original and not scraped. I don’t know if I can’t get 1,000,000 good pictures of Bud and Kelly.
I just love a happy ending and even though Stoney is not out of the woods yet, things are definitely looking better for this cute little guy. Stoney’s human has been in contact with us and others through his Caster page. She was able to get him to the vet yesterday and found a vet for life in Dr Ramsey of New Bedford, MA. Stoney was given some antibiotics to keep the infection from spreading and he’s scheduled for surgery on July 29th, 2008. While he’s under, the vet will also be cleaning Stoney’s healthy teeth to make sure the others stay healthy.
Stoney’s human would like to thank everyone who was able to help out through her chipin page and other venues. Stoney’s story has just broken my heart. I hope someone out there can help this little guy out. Stoney has an abscessed tooth that has made a hole in his cheek which has become infected. His cheek is so swollen right now that the third eyelid on his right eye is now almost totally closed. If you feel you can help financially, please chipin from the page his human has set up or at least help by digging his chipin page or blogging about his story. We realize that there are a lot of animals out there right now that could use help; but this little guy is in some real pain and needs help fast.
Stoney’s human has stated that she’ll be putting up some auctions on eBay soon and as soon as we have her ID, we’ll be featuring them here. Any money raised from their auctions or any other bids placed through our eBay links on this page will be donated to his cause.
Poor little Bandit was bit by a rattlesnake and lived to tell about it. This picture was taken the day after the bite and it shows the type of swelling that can occur in either human or animal. The Bandit received his name because his humans went to the shelter to adopt one cat and he stole their hearts. He is a brother to the famous Moki from Save Moki and Lucy the Pizza Cat and you can see more of The Bandit at his Catster page. Moki’s adopted human has also provided tons of links about cat health on Savemoki.com.

Buddy has been waiting patiently in the background to get his turn in the limelight at One Million Pet Pics. I really need to take that back, there is nothing patient about my Buddy.
Bud is this little cutie’s real name, but we have come up with so many nicknames that we really can’t count them all: Buddy, Budda, Bootcha, and Botched up Budda are a few that come to mind. Why Botched up Budda you ask? Well, he has some really quirky habits. Like typical cats, when he wants attention, he wants it NOW. For example, just a couple of minutes ago he felt it was his turn instead of the computer for attention; he came up and sat right in front of the mouse and keyboard until he was satisfied. He will also wake me up in the AM when I’m able to sleep in, one meow is all it takes and I’m up for the day. Buddy has a lot of other quirks, but I’ll save them for another day and another picture.

Lucy decided to have a little fun with her humans pizza box. If this were my Kelly, she’d be licking the leftovers that mom and dad didn’t finish. Lucy is one of the finalists in the pet photo contest, that we are sponsoring at Nearly-Dr Ferox. We are happy to be featuring the finalists here as well as the pics which didn’t quite make the cut.
Lucy is part of a large cat family that owns the humans that are helping a very special cat named Moki. If you’d like to help him out, he has his own website at savemoki.com and a blog as well. Moki really is one of the most amazing cats I’ve ever seen.

This adorable little one shared with us by Jim loves to wake up mommy and daddy at 4:30 in the morning. She’s a typical little kitty gets into everything and is extremely entertaining with her obnoxious manners. Besides all of these things, she has stolen her humans hearts and mine too because I always have a soft spot for short hair tabbies. She is so freaking cute.
